In a world where magic is both salvation and damnation, the wrong man is reborn into the right body. But this time, he refuses to be the victim. Derek dies as a broken man from Earth—abused, betrayed, grieving his murdered brother—only to wake as Lith, a newborn in a medieval world teeming with magic. But this is no second chance; it's a war of attrition. His family is starving. His sister is dying of a congenital illness. And the universe has given him one edge: he remembers everything. From his first cry, Lith discovers that magic exists—and that his true talent is not spells, but mind. While his family sees a silent baby, Lith is reverse-engineering incantations, practicing forbidden Spirit Magic, and developing a breathing technique that lets him absorb the world's mana like a parasite. His cheat? An ancient, dying artifact—Solus—a sentient mage tower core that grants him a pocket dimension and, eventually, a partner who shares his mind. Together, they'll shatter the kingdom's complacency, one ruthless act at a time.
In this world there are commoners, nobles, and mages. But I am none of those. I am Scourge.
Lith endures his first winter by pretending to be a babbling child while secretly training his mana core. But when his older brother Orpal steals his food, Lith's rage unlocks Spirit Magic—the ability to manipulate objects with pure will. He forces Orpal to choke on his stolen meal, triggering a family schism. At age 4, Lith hunts alone in the Trawn Woods, using Life Vision to track prey and his new powers to snap necks from 20 meters. He kills a Baron's son who tries to rob him—his first human blood. The body is erased. The lesson is learned.
Baby overthrows tyrant brother, learns forbidden magic
When a magical beast—a Byk—threatens his village, Lith goes full predator. He discovers Fusion Magic (infusing his body with elements) mid-battle, becoming unbreakable like stone, fluid like water. He kills the Byk, but its mate, Irtu, ambushes him. Lith uses darkness spells, perfume-based traps, and a calculated free-fall to turn the tables. After the battle, his mana core evolves to deep cyan. He also meets Solus, his sentient ring, who grants him a pocket dimension. With his new power, he cures his sister Tista's fatal lung condition—a procedure that earns him his first political ally: Count Lark, who sponsors his entry into the White Griffon Academy.
Boy kills two magical bears, saves sister
Lith arrives at the White Griffon Academy as a commoner—and immediately becomes prey. Three noble girls corner him, threatening violence. Lith reveals a Guilty Ballot, a recording device that exposes their bullying. They're expelled within hours, but the power struggle escalates. Professor Nalear, a fellow victim of noble abuse, publicly shames the bullies while Lith accidentally blurts a marriage proposal to her—a mortifying moment that secretly proves his hormonal awakening. Yet in the Master Healer course, Lith shares a new diagnostic spell, earning 1000 points and the attention of the god-like healer Manohar, who marks him as a prodigy. He's now a target—and a weapon.
Commoner survives noble assault, gains royal favor
Linjos forces every student into a week-long "mock exam" in a magical forest. Lith's team is incompetent: they panic, piss themselves, and nearly get eaten. Lith carries them through an ambush of Clackers (spider-beasts), extracting poison from his own body and weaponizing it. He fights a Ry, a Cingy, and a Cron simultaneously, using potions and fake spells to mask his true power. But the real threat is Scarlett—an Emperor Beast with telepathy. Scarlett invades Lith's mind, calling him an "Abomination" for his bottomless rage. Yet instead of killing him, Scarlett spares him, recognizing Solus as a symbiont, not a parasite. The exam ends with Lith's team scoring 150 points each—and his real nature exposed to the forest's apex predator.
Team survives forest massacre, beast discovers Lith's secret
Uses past life knowledge and Spirit/Fusion magic to survive. Cured his sister, killed a magical beast, and navigated noble politics—all while hiding his true nature as a "monster."
Once a legendary artifact, she was reduced to a pebble. Bonded with Lith via blood, she grants him pocket dimensions and magical labs. She is his only confidant and emotional anchor.
The first person to truly love Lith. She is the reason he doesn't "reroll" (suicide) in the new world. Her unwavering faith in him fuels his drive to protect his family—at any cost.
