Lin Qingyue, a high school senior on Earth, lives in a world fundamentally reshaped by games. Professions, status panels, and dungeons are real, but for a Priest like her, the future is laid out like a predictable spreadsheet. She's a top-tier healer, sure, dumping points into Intelligence and Faith, but the meta build is mind-numbingly boring. Her past life memories as a hardcore gamer, obsessed with flashy maneuvers and dancing on a blade's edge, clash violently with her current reality: a frail body that can barely swing a stick. She sees her entire life stretching out, an endless loop of healing and buffing from the back lines, until a quiet retirement. It's a suffocating existence, devoid of challenge or excitement.
One day, slumped on her sofa, utterly fed up with the mundane, Lin Qingyue idly mutters a half-joking phrase from a game: "Life's so boring... Why not... praise Aha?" The universe, it turns out, is listening. An absurd, eye-searing interface explodes before her, adorned with tacky red masks and streamers. It's the Elation System, dedicated to collecting and spreading fun. It promises gacha pulls for wondrous rewards from countless realms, all earned by creating "Elation Events" β moments of extreme awkwardness or social death.
Her first mission is issued just as a shy classmate arrives to confess his feelings. Lin Qingyue, her streamer instincts kicking in, instinctively slaps the boy's shoulder and declares, "I thought we were bros, and you're trying to hit on me?" The boy's face drains of color, his youthful dreams shattered. The System gleefully confirms "Shame Level: MAX" and rewards her. Among the loot: a Millelith Soldier's Experience Book, which she immediately uses. Her Strength, Agility, and Constitution surge, transforming her from a fragile caster into someone with the physical prowess of a five-year veteran. She even glamours a plain polearm into a deceptively cute pink staff. The stage is set for Lin Qingyue to unleash her inner gamer, transforming her predictable Priest life into a chaotic, exhilarating spectacle, one social death at a time.
Two lifetimes... I don't want to spend this one so boringly...
Starting by Praising Aha, I Become Stronger Through Social Death
Lin Qingyue's arena debut against Li Yue, a Level 17 Assassin, starts with classic trash talk. Li Yue mocks Priests for being useless in solo combat, a common stereotype. Lin Qingyue's pre-fight retort is a series of precise verbal jabs, branding Li Yue with "sloth, arrogance, and shallowness." The fight begins, and Li Yue, a stealth expert, attempts a classic backstab. But Lin Qingyue, with her newly acquired Millelith instincts, closes her eyes and precisely anticipates the attack. She unleashes a "Thousand Army Sweep" with her pink staff, a move so un-Priest-like it sends the Assassin flying, shattering her stealth and the audience's expectations. Li Yue, desperate, unleashes Shadow Clone, but Lin Qingyue's staff work is too precise, too powerful. When Li Yue commits to an all-out Shadow Strike, Lin Qingyue swiftly casts Power Word: Shield, absorbing the blow, then counters with a staff thrust that knocks Li Yue clean out of the arena. The crowd erupts, stunned by the Priest who dominated a melee class. The System rewards her with a Venti Trial Card and 200 Elation Value, but a new passive, "Melody Beyond the Strings," also triggers. This passive forces a "Conceptual Costume Change" with random BGM and abilities whenever she casts a skill, threatening constant, humiliating public transformations. Lin Qingyue is now a melee Priest, but at the cost of her dignity.
Lin Qingyue shatters Priest stereotypes with brutal melee skill, but gains a terrifying passive that forces humiliating, random transformations.
Lin Qingyue fights Level 22 Berserker Wang Meng, who tries to trash-talk and recruit her. She uses her speed, Millelith techniques, and even her Smite skill as a Holy Light Flashbang to blind him. After a war of attrition, she counters his berserk charge with a staff strike to the ankle and a kick to the kidney, sending him flying and forcing him to awkwardly call her "First Cousin." Her next opponent is Xu Bingbing, a Level 23 Ice Mage with an "Iron Turtle" defense. Lin Qingyue struggles to break through, but then uses her Power Word: Shield's light, refracted through her staff's crystal, to reveal Xu Bingbing's Ice Armor's mana nodes. A precise staff thrust shatters the defense. But just as victory is in sight, "Melody Beyond the Strings" triggers. She transforms into Pela, an Intelligence Officer from Honkai: Star Rail, complete with glasses and beret. The System grants "Insight into Weaknesses" (30% Defense Ignore) and forces her to deliver a cringey line. Her sister, Lin Xiyue, records the entire spectacle on her phone for blackmail. Mortified but embracing the social death, Lin Qingyue uses her new ability to one-shot Xu Bingbing. This bizarre sequence of events, broadcast live, attracts the attention of university admissions officers, who begin to view her as an "anomaly."
Lin Qingyue embraces social death for victory, shattering class stereotypes and attracting high-level attention with her bizarre, powerful transformations.
The Dungeon Score Competition begins with new rules: "Chivalry" (reduces sneak attack effectiveness) and "Beauty is Justice" (higher looks attract more priority attacks). Lin Qingyue's pink hair makes her an instant, unavoidable target for Kobolds, forcing her to constantly fend off frenzied attacks while her teammates struggle to pull aggro. She uses her Cleanse Spell, originally intended for hygiene, to inexplicably dismantle a Stitched Abomination by "cleansing" its sutures, causing it to explode into a pile of gore. This further shatters her teammates' (and the outside world's) understanding of Holy Light magic. A terrifying force of Death Knights, led by Death Lord Mograss, attacks the Elven Outpost. But the Death Knight Commander, Aeldara, reveals herself to be a living Elf, not an enemy. She explains that Death Knights are not undead, but wielders of Death Power for balance, and that the "war" is a misunderstanding over the Elf Queen's stolen "youth album" (Magic Images of her romancing the Human King's ancestor). Lin Qingyue's team agrees to meet the Elf Queen.
Lin Qingyue's unpredictable abilities redefine dungeon combat, culminating in a reveal that the dungeon's "war" is a bizarre, intergenerational scandal.
The Elf Outpost is attacked by Mograss's fundamentalist Death Knight faction. Aeldara, the Elf Death Knight Commander, confronts the three Death Lords in a realm of "gods clashing" combat. Her ultimate skill, "Silent Judgment," creates a domain of absolute stillness and unleashes conceptual slashes, shattering Mograss's axe and severely wounding him. However, the attack leaves her momentarily vulnerable. Lin Qingyue's team, initially sidelined by the high-level battle, is drawn into the fray. Lin Qingyue, now equipped with the "Melody Beyond the Strings: Divine Charm" skill (upgraded from choosing Tianshu University), finds herself triggering transformations with increased frequency. She transforms into March 7th: Hunt, in a Chinese-style training uniform, wielding twin swords. Her ultimate, "Master, I've Ascended!" (a shame-inducing line about tea), gives the team a group acceleration buff. A holographic projection above her head, now personalized by the "I Am Elation!" system upgrade, displays a chibi Lin Qingyue doing mundane things, further humiliating her. Despite the cringe, her power is undeniable. She uses her twin swords to cripple the Undead Warhorse, allowing the team to defeat it. The Death Knight Mograss goes berserk, but Lin Qingyue unleashes her ultimate, "March 7th, the Apex Heroine!" (accompanied by a personalized PV of her "Azure Dragon, White Tiger, eating less carbs" diet chant), shattering his armor and defeating him.
Lin Qingyue's enhanced "Melody Beyond the Strings" triggers, forcing her into a series of embarrassing yet overwhelmingly powerful transformations that turn the tide against elite Death Knights.
Lin Qingyue begins as a bored Priest yearning for excitement in a game-integrated world. Her accidental "praise Aha" summons the Elation System, which rewards her for creating "social death" events. She gains melee combat skills, a deceptively pink staff, and a constantly triggering "cosplay" passive, forcing her into embarrassing but powerful transformations (Venti, Noelle, March 7th, etc.). Despite the humiliation, she embraces these new powers, using them to shatter class stereotypes, dominate arena opponents, clear dungeons in bizarre ways, and ultimately rise to the top of the exam rankings, proving herself a tactical genius and master of "cognitive interference."
Lin Xiyue is Lin Qingyue's twin, a valiant Paladin who serves as her sister's steadfast shield and most enthusiastic supporter. Initially bewildered by Lin Qingyue's sudden shift to melee combat and strange transformations, she quickly adapts, often providing comic relief with her reactions or her own attempts to "blackmail" her sister. She is a strong tank, skilled in deflecting attacks, and receives custom-forged equipment from the Earth Spirits, significantly boosting her defensive capabilities. Her unwavering trust and sisterly bond with Lin Qingyue are a constant source of strength for both.
Su Wan is a highly skilled Ice Mage and a new teammate in the Dungeon Score Competition. She is initially cold, logical, and composed, but her worldview is repeatedly shattered by Lin Qingyue's bizarre and unconventional abilities, such as pink healing spells and the Cleanse Spell disintegrating enemies. Despite her initial skepticism and the constant assault on her common sense, she proves to be a highly adaptable and effective combatant, quickly integrating Lin Qingyue's unique tactics into her own strategy and becoming a reliable damage dealer and crowd controller.
