The world of Immortal Legacy beckons, a virtual reality MMORPG where the flow of time accelerates threefold, offering players a tantalizing escape into a life far longer and richer than their mundane realities. Within this digital expanse, Leon Chambers, known by his in-game alias Broken, navigates his existence with a quiet resignation. His real life is a relentless grind of university studies and a demanding part-time job, affording him a mere hour a day to immerse himself in the game's wonders. This stark limitation stifles his progress, leaving him perpetually trailing behind other players who dedicate endless hours to leveling and exploration. His aspirations are modest: a simple spirit contract, a fundamental milestone for any newcomer, to bolster his warrior class and fire affinity. Yet, fate, or perhaps a mischievous deity, has far grander, and far more chaotic, plans for Broken. His seemingly ordinary quest leads him not to a common spirit, but to the ancient, shadowy Temple of Blessing, where the grand doors creak open to reveal an unforeseen destiny.
This journey can only be undertaken once every month. Failure to form a contract will reduce your chances of success in future attempts.

Broken's initial bewilderment at the Goddess of Sloth's appearance swiftly morphs into a cascade of game-breaking blessings. Akidia bestows upon him the coveted title of "Champion of Sloth," a seemingly contradictory gift that grants continuous passive experience gain, yet paradoxically denies him experience from killing monsters. This fundamental shift redefines his entire progression path, forcing him away from traditional combat leveling. Alongside this, the "Self Transcendence Blessing" activates, promising random, unforeseen enhancements to everything he possesses, with a progress bar that fills faster the less he kills. This blessing immediately grants him five powerful passive skills: Bountiful Harvest (enhanced loot drops), Adaptive Equipment (equip items 100 levels higher), Quality Enhancement (upgrade crafted items), Domain Boundless Access (enter high-level dungeons/domains), and Quest Advancement (higher quest ratings). As if these weren't enough, Akidia, in a belated act of generosity, emails him two "High-grade Spirit Contract Tickets," allowing him to force contracts with Unique-grade spirits. Moments later, a Unique-grade Nine-Tailed Fox Spirit Beast named Polly willingly offers him a contract, sensing his potential. This surge of power, however, comes with immediate real-world consequences: global announcements about his divine encounter make him a celebrity, while his forced prolonged game time results in the loss of his job. The irony of being the "Champion of Sloth" while needing to diligently work to understand and leverage his chaotic blessings sets the stage for a unique journey, one already being monitored by Marco Flare, the CEO of Golden Age Company, who recognizes Broken's game-altering potential.
Broken receives a cascade of contradictory yet powerful blessings, reshaping his progression and triggering global attention and personal hardship.
Returning to Yunatea after losing his job, Broken finds the Shrine of Regeneration eerily deserted, a stark contrast to its usual bustling atmosphere. His friend, the arrogant and wealthy Booba, arrives on an Epic-grade wyvern, initially mocking Broken's choice of a "cute little fox" as a spirit, only to be stunned by Polly's revealed Unique-grade. Their reunion is short-lived as player killers ambush them, forcing Booba to flee. Broken, still low-level, poorly armored, and weaponless after his gear shatters, is humiliated and nearly defeated, his Ethereal Form skill barely saving him. The timely arrival of Princess Alora and her royal troops, investigating player killer activity, leads to the player killers' arrest and Broken's desperate, comical escape—logging out mid-conversation while kneeling and stifling laughter from Lily's real-world tickling. This incident, broadcast on the news, paints him as a "naked player killer," earning him an infamous reputation. Upon his return to the game, he's instantly recognized, leading to a frantic chase by city guards and players. He encounters RememberMe, a boastful warrior, who challenges him to a duel. Broken, leveraging Polly's superior level and his newfound skills, swiftly defeats RememberMe, forcing him into a 24-hour "slavery" contract. This unexpected alliance with RememberMe, PussyCat (mage), and Forev (archer) marks his first foray into group play, setting him on a path of monster hunting to feed Polly and gather resources, while his "player killer curse" reputation precedes him.
Broken's public humiliation and accidental "player killer" reputation force him into an unexpected alliance, leading to tactical victories and resource gathering.
Driven by the need for better gear and a production class to utilize his Quality Enhancement skill, Broken embarks on a quest to become a blacksmith under the notoriously difficult Dwarf Master Fokil. His initial attempts to gain acknowledgement are met with gruff rejection, but his demonstrated mining skill (earning "A Blessed Miner" title) eventually leads to a quest for rare Moonstones. This arduous task takes weeks of in-game time, pushing his determination to the limit as he repeatedly fails to mine the elusive mineral. His interactions with Gia, the late miner's wife, reveal the Moonstone's connection to "ancient elements" and a lucrative "Heirloom of the Moonstone Miners" quest, further fueling his resolve. Finally, through sheer persistence and the "Miner and the Moon's Connection" title, he successfully mines a high-quality Moonstone. The Self Transcendence Blessing, observing his diligence, triggers a shocking upgrade: instantly elevating him to "Master Rank - Level 1" in Blacksmith's Craftsmanship, a feat considered nearly impossible for players. He prudently chooses to hide this unprecedented achievement from the public leaderboard. Fokil, initially exasperated, soon becomes a mentor, guiding Broken through steel smelting and crafting Elite-grade gloves (unlocking Dexterity and a powerful "Double Strikes" skill). This rapid ascent, combined with his existing blessings, positions Broken to craft the "Unseen Universe Necklace," a Unique-Legendary blueprint that promises access to pocket dimensions and further engagement with ancient elements. His journey, now marked by immense wealth in-game (translatable to significant real-world money), attracts the attention of the Golden Age Company, who assign him a personal support liaison, Freya, further blurring the lines between his virtual and real lives.
Broken's unwavering diligence in a challenging quest leads to a shocking, instantaneous mastery of blacksmithing, revealing vast potential and ancient secrets.
Leon Chambers, a struggling university student with limited gaming time, becomes the accidental "Champion of Sloth" in Immortal Legacy. Despite his real-life constraints and the paradoxical nature of his blessings (passive leveling, no monster EXP), he exhibits extraordinary diligence, quickly mastering blacksmithing to Master Rank through a unique cheat. His journey is marked by unexpected fame, humiliation, strategic alliances, and the accumulation of immense power and wealth, constantly balancing his introverted nature with the demands of his rising status.
Akidia is the whimsical deity whose accidental appearance and subsequent slumber trigger Broken's unique "Champion of Sloth" status. Despite her namesake, she bestows incredibly powerful, albeit contradictory, blessings and skills upon Broken, fundamentally altering his gameplay and setting him on an unforeseen path to greatness. Her actions are often driven by a playful, almost chaotic, generosity.
Polly is a rare, Unique-grade Spirit Beast who willingly forms a contract with Broken, sensing his potential after Akidia's blessing. She possesses formidable combat prowess, high magic resistance, and the ability to evolve, serving as Broken's primary combat ally and mount. Her presence is crucial in numerous battles, compensating for Broken's initial low level and lack of gear.
