Nagazora City lay under a leaden sky, a fitting prelude to the storm brewing within Chiba Academy. Eighteen-year-old Liang Wu, a transmigrator reborn into the world of Honkai Impact 3rd, once again stood by the corridor window, perfecting his melancholic persona. The whispers of students—about his deceased ex-girlfriend, his rainy-day sadness—fueled a system only he could see. The Most Melancholy Person rewarded his performance: Honkai resistance increased, energy capacity grew. This was his survival strategy. As a man in the Previous Era, he knew the fate of civilization was annihilation, so he bound himself to a young sunshine boy named Kevin, borrowing his future melancholy to unlock the Six Eyes, a technique granting absolute efficiency in Honkai energy control. But his grand plan for a safe, hidden life was about to be shattered.
Returning to his rented apartment, Liang Wu found a drenched, feverish girl curled up by his door. A stray, he thought, until he saw her face—Kiana Kaslana, the Void Drifter from the Current Era, the most melancholic soul in Honkai history. The system erupted with a new detection, a new bonding possibility that promised far greater power than Kevin ever could. This was a turning point, a moment of destiny he could not ignore. He carried her inside, the weight of the future settling on his shoulders.
The girl's identity was a cataclysm waiting to happen. This Kiana was not the playful protagonist but the worn, guilt-ridden Herrscher who had been betrayed by Fu Hua, watched Himeko sacrifice herself, and awakened in an unfamiliar world. Liang Wu knew that if he could forge a bond with her, his melancholy points would skyrocket. The risk was immense, but the potential reward was too great. With a deep breath, he steeled himself, seeing not just a stray girl but the key to his survival and the salvation of this doomed era. He could not let this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity slip away.
Save the world with me, Kiana.
Honkai Impact 3rd: My Future Girlfriend, Kiana
Liang Wu, after a brief scuffle to subdue Kiana's initial suspicion, convinces her he is a fellow traveler from the future. His careful lies—about being a reincarnated soul and her "same kind"—sway the feverish and exhausted Void Drifter. The bond switch from Kevin to Kiana yields an immediate 40% Melancholy Charge Efficiency, a staggering boost. As a reward, he awakens the [Stigmata: Cecilia Schariac], which unintentionally gives him an aura resembling a gentle mother. This creates an awkwardly hilarious dynamic as Kiana, in a fever-induced hallucination, calls him "Mom." Their cohabitation begins with a shopping trip and a sales assistant mistaking them for a mother-daughter duo. The bond deepens, and the world of the Previous Era opens its arms, albeit awkwardly, to the pair of timeline-displaced white-haired souls.
The shaky cohabitation lifts Kiana from despair and grants Liang Wu a powerful melancholy system, setting the stage for their partnership.
The Third Honkai Eruption hits Nagazora, and Liang Wu is forced to reveal his power to Kevin and the entire school, one-shotting a Chariot-class Honkai Beast. He rushes home to find Kiana, and together they confront the devastating Herrscher of Thunder. Liang Wu engages in a brutal duel, using his Honkai Technique Lapse: Blue and Reversal: Red, but the Herrscher outsmarts his Infinitiy by heating the air inside his lungs. They battle across the ruined city, with Liang Wu's ideals of being "the strongest" challenged at every turn. The fight culminates in a devastating black hole, but victory is snatched away as Kiana is forced to intervene, and a new threat emerges—the Herrscher of the Void—complicating the battle for humanity.
Liang Wu's first public feat as a "hero" exposes a hidden world to his peers and establishes him as a key combatant, but the fight is far from over.
The aftermath of the Honkai eruption leaves Liang Wu gravely injured. In the midst of his recovery, Kiana's condition worsens, pushing him to discover a new technique: the Reverse Honkai Technique, a power born from the fusion of his Six Eyes and the Saint's Stigmata. This new power is capable of healing fatal wounds. Realizing he needs an even larger source of power, Liang Wu makes the risky decision to switch his bond from Kiana to Elysia, the Herrscher of Human, for a panic-driven, quick reward. He is rewarded with the [Barrier Techniques] skill, enabling him to construct complex spaces from thin air. Facing the dual-authority Herrscher of Thunder, Liang Wu unleashes a final gambit—a Domain Expansion: Unlimited Void, sealing the Herrscher in an endless torrent of information and giving Kiana the opening she needs to finish the fight.
Liang Wu's arrival at Fire Moth as a hero solidifies his status as a world-class force, but it also uncovers the complex truth of his system and the nature of this world.
After securing the Herrscher cores, Liang Wu and Kiana decide to join Fire Moth, the world's anti-Honkai organization. Upon arrival, they are met with a startling revelation—the organization is being masterminded by an Otto Apocalypse from the future, who has been collecting "destined" heroes like Kevin, Su, and even Kalpas. Otto, aware of his role as a villain, proposes a temporary alliance for the sake of survival, and the pair reluctantly accept the offer, beginning their formal military training. As they navigate the new environment, they reunite with old friends and enemies, including the ever-troublesome Elysia and the calculating Dr. Mobius, who are now more intrigued than ever by Liang Wu's mysterious power.
The alliance with Otto transforms the pair into full-fledged soldiers, setting the stage for a future confrontation with the inevitable path of fate.

She struggles with her identity as a "fake" and the constant temptation of the Herrscher of the Void within her, but her resolve to protect the world’s beauty is reignited. Her unique connection to the world's fate marks her as a key player in the upcoming conflict against the Previous Era’s collapse.
A pink-haired enigma deeply invested in the welfare of Herrschers. She quickly befriends Liang Wu and Kiana, showing a deep, almost maternal attraction to Liang Wu's aura.
