He contracts Shyra, an Obsidian Panther cub with a Noble bloodline, and immediately goes hunting. He kills slimes, goblins, and a wounded orc, leveling up rapidly. That same night, the three hunters who killed the original Leo ambush him in an alley. Leo, with his boosted stats and Shyra's stealth, turns the tables. He kills all three, crushing their skulls to hide the evidence, and feels a grim satisfaction for avenging the body he now inhabits. He returns home to Lily, who has been worried sick, and reveals his awakening. The night ends with a confession, a kiss, and the beginning of a bond that will define their futures. Leo has taken his first step toward power, but he has also painted a target on his back.

Zolton Milti, the Baron's son, sends his butler Arnold to kidnap Lily. Arnold tracks them using a piece of Lily's torn clothing, a violation that ignites Leo's fury. The fight destroys their house, but Leo, with his enhanced agility, wounds Arnold severely. Lily, wielding a sword, delivers the killing blow, her eyes glowing pink with a hidden power. In that moment, Leo discovers Lily's talent: Spirit Caller, a rare summoning ability. Using the core of Arnold's wolf, Lily summons and contracts her first spirit beast, Lunaria. In the heart of the nest, they discover a Dryad named Niri, a Royal bloodline beast trapped in a cocoon of golden light. Niri bonds with Leo instantly, forming a Blood Bond and granting him powerful healing and nature-based skills. Using Niri's Solar Beam and Shyra's critical strikes, they slaughter the Treants. Leo's system levels him up multiple times, and he gains the Titanbreath Lotus, a growth-type treasure. They return to Kendru to find that Zerek has attacked the restaurant and injured Sera. Leo, enraged, confronts Zerek and kills him with a single punch, shattering his skull. James is appointed as the new Baron. Leo and Lily have eliminated their greatest threat, but their power has drawn the attention of the Empire's academies.

They are teleported into a trial forest teeming with beasts and other candidates. Leo is separated from Lily, but he quickly adapts, hunting Soil Worms and Rock Golems. He encounters Dale, a noble with a harem, and they form a temporary alliance to reach a Natural Treasure. The treasure is a Rootspire Behemoth, a Peak 3-star plant monster guarded by a 3-cored Golem. In a chaotic battle involving a Thunderhide Elk and a wolf pack, Leo unleashes his full arsenal. He uses Niri's Solar Beam, Shyra's Mist Shroud, and his own brute strength to shatter the Behemoth's core. He claims the Elasian Aetherbloom, a Red-tier growth treasure, and the Earthpulse Lifecore, which massively boosts his vitality. His trial points skyrocket to over 200,000, making him the top candidate. But the real test is just beginning.
