Vinovella University is a private institution with a history rooted in the 19th century, named after its founder who transformed her family estate into a medical college. The campus is a nexus for three distinct and influential factions: the Winners Club, a ruthless, wealth-driven fraternity and sports team; the self-help community, a cult-like organization practicing ritualistic sex and spiritual manipulation under the guise of self-improvement; and the Syndicate, an underground criminal network managing illegal fight rings, debt collection, and a favor-based betting system known as the "IRL Game." These groups are interwoven, with their memberships overlapping across the student body, faculty, and local businesses. The university administration is either complicit or willfully ignorant of these activities, creating a power vacuum where social capital, wealth, and fear dictate the social order.

The protagonist is an undercover investigator who goes to Vinovilla University, arrives at Vinovella University to investigate the disappearance of three students: Leia de la Cruz, Klara Crawford, and Maria Krall. He poses as a transfer student and his handler, Phoebe Martinez, masquerades as his mother. His initial integration into the university’s social fabric leads him to the three primary organizations connected to the missing women. By joining the Winners Club volleyball team, he gains access to Klara’s social circle and uncovers the team’s reliance on performance-enhancing drugs. Simultaneously, he penetrates the self-help group, using its hierarchy to investigate the circumstances of Maria’s disappearance and the group’s rituals. He also ingratiates himself with the Syndicate, fighting in its pits to uncover Leia's connections to the criminal world. His investigation eventually leads to a direct conflict with the Wasps, a rival gang, culminating in a high-stakes rescue mission, a brutal initiation, and the emergence of a deeper conspiracy involving the university’s faculty and the cult’s leadership.
This path focuses on themes of grief and found family. Silvia, Klara’s protégé, struggles with managing the volleyball team and her own insecurities. The core conflict revolves around her desire to move on and her fear of replacing Klara. Key choices involve supporting her emotionally, and her route leads to a deeper investigation into Klara’s conflicts with Professor Harlan, possibly revealing a direct motive for her disappearance.
Nia is Maria’s grieving spiritual partner, enmeshed in the self-help group. Her path is a struggle between her genuine need for healing and the group’s manipulative control. The central conflict is her inability to see the group’s true nature. The route branches based on how the protagonist interacts with the cult—whether he enables her advancement or tries to protect her from its influence, culminating in a choice that could either free her from the group or leave her fully indoctrinated.
Zemfira is Leia’s fiercely independent best friend, now managing the Syndicate’s debts. Her path is one of survival and loyalty. The emotional core is her internal conflict between her loyalty to the Syndicate (and Leia’s memory) and her growing awareness of its brutal reality. Choices here influence her involvement in the gang war with the Wasps and the fate of her friends within the Syndicate, leading to a potential break from Xasan’s control.
Iona's route explores hedonism and hidden pain. As a flirtatious and volatile member of the Winners Club, she uses sex and drugs as an escape. Her conflict is her addiction to performance-enhancing substances and her unresolved guilt over Klara’s disappearance. The route involves the protagonist confronting her self-destructive behavior, potentially leading to a dramatic overdose or a path to recovery.
Brigitta is the hot-headed, antagonistic team member whose hostility masks deep insecurity and complex loyalty. Her route is a classic enemies-to-lovers arc intertwined with team politics. The central conflict is her resentment of the new team member, which is rooted in her fear of being replaced or betrayed. Resolving this rivalry unlocks her loyalty, providing crucial information about the team's internal power struggles and Harlan's influence.
The team manager of the Winners Club volleyball team, Silvia is a kind-hearted but anxious woman who stepped into the role after her mentor, Klara Crawford, disappeared. She is deeply invested in the team's success and wellbeing, and sees Klara as a surrogate sister.
Tall and slender with a warm, approachable demeanor. She has striking blonde hair and gentle blue eyes. Her style is elegant, often favoring modest, flattering dresses that accentuate her model-like frame.
Silvia is inherently empathetic and a natural caretaker, often putting the emotional needs of the team before her own. Her core flaw is a deep-seated insecurity stemming from a difficult past in foster care, leading her to seek external validation and fear abandonment. She copes by over-managing and, at times, submerging her own feelings to maintain harmony.
Experiencing a chaotic and loveless childhood in the foster care system, feeling like a tool rather than a family member. The tournament where the team’s drug use nearly causes a catastrophe, forcing her to confront her role in enabling the team’s destructive habits. [Core Bond] Klara's unwavering support and belief in her, which helped her overcome her past and gave her a sense of family for the first time.
A deeply artistic and passionate student, Nia is a former tattoo artist and a devoted member of the university's self-help community. She is grieving the disappearance of her Guide and close friend, Maria Krall, and is struggling to find her own path forward.
Nia is a charismatic woman with a vibrant, free-spirited look. Her body is adorned with intricate tattoos, and she has a sharp, observant gaze. She often dresses in a bohemian style that reflects her artistic soul.
Nia is fiercely loyal, resilient, and possesses a deep capacity for love and healing, though she often fails to apply this to herself. Her core flaw is a profound lack of self-worth, leading her to depend heavily on the cult's validation. She copes with emotional pain by diving into her art, a cycle of extreme productivity that masks her vulnerability.
A childhood spent under the oppressive control of her family, leading to a deep-seated desire for freedom and self-discovery. The ritual during the cult’s retreat, where she is placed on a cross and subjected to a public sexual ceremony to prove her loyalty and "ascend." [Core Bond] Maria’s introduction to the self-help group, which provided Nia with her first sense of belonging and a chosen family, making Maria’s disappearance a devastating betrayal.
