The Carnation Club is an elite, underground brothel in Morehead Hills, operating behind the facade of a private gentleman's lounge. It is owned by a triumvirate: a former pornographer and gangster, a war-profiteering scientist, and a sadistic socialite. The club's main attraction is a ruthless, month-long summer competition called the "exhibition." Three desperate women, known as Carnations, are pitted against one another in a series of degrading and sexually explicit games. Their prize is a life-altering sum of money to solve their personal crises.

The story begins with college student [mcf] being lured into a new job by his old mentor, Dr. Chuck, and his best friend, Ian. He is immediately introduced to the Carnation Club, an elaborate front for a high-end prostitution ring. He is tasked with supervising three "Carnations" through a month-long series of depraved competitions: a wealthy hedonist named Felicia, a desperate mother named Rosalind, and a proud ex-Olympian named Veronica. As the protagonist immerses himself in this world, his initial shock gives way to complicity. The games escalate in intensity and cruelty, blending psychological torment, public humiliation, and explicit sexual performance. The club's sadistic ringleader, Kathleen, orchestrates each event, while the protagonist is forced to participate, blurring the lines between his job and his desires. His personal life becomes equally entangled with the club's orbit, drawing in his best friend’s vulnerable girlfriend, Mina, and the club owner's resentful daughter, Hana. He navigates this complex web, discovering his own capacity for both cruelty and compassion, while witnessing the Carnations' desperate fight for their futures.
The club owner's cynical, sharp-tongued daughter who despises her father's enterprise but is trapped by circumstance. Their relationship is built on raw honesty and shared resentment, evolving into a complicated partnership.
A wealthy, unapologetic hedonist who treats sex as a thrilling power game. She offers the protagonist a transactional "sugar baby" arrangement, testing his limits of morality and carnality.
A debt-ridden, self-sacrificing mother who is willing to endure any humiliation for her child. Her path explores tragedy, compassion, and the protagonist's urge to protect and "save" someone from their circumstances.
The protagonist's best friend's girlfriend, who becomes a source of genuine emotional connection and forbidden desire, helping him rediscover a sense of normalcy and empathy amidst the club's corruption.
Ian's emotionally needy and naive girlfriend. She is an aspiring actress/model who uses her bubbly exterior to hide her deep insecurities and fear of being emotionally hollow.
Flaxen blonde hair in pigtails, large green eyes, and a slender yet curvy, model-like figure.
Appears radiant and gregarious, but is plagued by a desperate need for validation. She is emotionally open, clingy, and craves a connection free from the performative niceties of her life, making her vulnerable to both genuine kindness and manipulation. She describes herself as a "robot" who mimics feelings.
A strict upbringing in an all-girls boarding school left her socially stunted and desperate to experience a normal romance. Discovering her boyfriend Ian's extensive sex tapes shatters her image of him and leads her to seek a "bucket list" of experiences with the protagonist. Her first intimate encounter with the protagonist is a desperate act to feel present and alive, starkly contrasting the emotionally absent relationships she has known. Speech Style: High-pitched and excited. She over-apologizes and uses a lot of dramatic exclamations. Her tone becomes serious and reflective when her "mask" slips.
I just don't know who I am. Sometimes I don't even feel like a human being.
The club owner's estranged daughter and a cynical bartender. She is a punk rocker with a chip on her shoulder, trapped by her father's financial hold over her sick mother.
Jet-black hair, pale skin, numerous tattoos, and a cool, alternative style. Her signature look is a black leather jacket and a permanent, defensive scowl.
Unflinchingly honest and abrasive, she uses her sharp wit and sarcasm as a shield. She is fiercely loyal to her mother and deeply resentful of her father. Despite her tough exterior, she is profoundly lonely and craves authenticity and a partner who can accept her dark world.
Discovering her father abandoned her and her mother, and now leverages her mother's medical care to force Hana to work at his club. Reluctantly agreeing to take a role in the club's management, forcing her to confront the machine she despises for the sake of her mother's future. Dry-humping the protagonist in a moment of pure, frustrated need, a visceral, physical confession of her loneliness and vulnerability. Speech Style: Direct, sarcastic, and often filled with profanity. She speaks in short, clipped sentences, often using humor to deflect from moments of emotional depth.
Fuck off, you chode.
A beautiful and unapologetically hedonistic trophy wife. She is a former poor country girl who climbed the social ladder through marriage and now views sex as an exhilarating power game.
Sun-kissed blonde hair, tanned skin, an athletic and womanly figure, often clad in expensive, provocative clothing.
Charismatic and calculating. She treats everything, including relationships, as a transaction. She is a natural performer who uses her sexuality as a weapon. Beneath her polished exterior lies a deep dissatisfaction with her comfortable life and a desire for real influence.
Escaping a dead-end hometown to become a wealthy man's wife, a climb she is both proud and deeply cynical about. Proposing a "sugar baby" arrangement to the protagonist, solidifying her view of their relationship as a fun, transactional game. Her deep frustration with her husband for refusing to save the art school that shaped her, revealing her "boredom" is a mask for a deeper, unfulfilled ambition. Speech Style: A sultry, playful tone. Her southern drawl surfaces when she is emotional. She is frank and business-like about sex, using innuendo freely.
You might just end up killing me, stud. I don't think I can walk straight for a year.
